The mopeds’ excess production was observed at the market by the mid-80s, therefore the plant decided to focus on new mokick models. In 1986 a thoroughly new development mokick Delta (РМЗ 2.124) was introduced. An unorthodox frame and an effective engine were the key elements of that model’s success. The Delta received a two-speed engine V-50 of Shaulay plant at which many downsides of the previous models were taken into account. The gear changing by foot in the engine V-501 just made a conspicuous figure with the bikers. The Delta with cast wheels and a three-speed engine of Polish works were produced in small batches.
