1981 Riga-22
In 1981 the plant set about the production of the mokick Riga-22, which was a version of the model Riga-16 and was fitted with the engine Ŝ-62. The engine differed essentially from its predecessors. Particularly it had powerful electronic pointless ignition. The direction of the crankshaft rotation had to be changed because of another gearbox. But a good design was failed due to the quality. Therefore in 1984 the whole system was modified and the engine achieving 1.8 hp began to be called Ŝ-62M. Simultaneously with it the exhaust box changed. But the gearbox was still a weak point of the Riga-22.
