1917 David Duque de Montpensier

In 1907, Jose Maria Armangue at the age of 17 was appointed to the role of the driver in bobsleigh Centro Excursionista de Cataluna. One day she got tired of the fact that she had to pull the bob by hand after the descent, and together with her friends she planned to create a motorized "bob car," which is commonly known as "Cycle-Car".

The idea of the "Cycle-Car" grew into the car David, which was named after the biblical character of David. The process of creating the first David finished in 1913. A year later, in 1914, the factory "Fabrica Nacional de Autociclos (Cyclecars) David" was founded on social capital.

The cars David took part in numerous sporting events. For example, in 1914 and 1916 the David won the race Barcelona-Sabadell-Barcelona. In 1919 the company changed its name to simple "David, SA", but the company quickly began to lose its popularity and was forced to close in 1923.
