Montesa Sprint 1956 TT 125cc

In 1949 there was the first victory motorcycle Montesa in the Catalan Grand Prix. Joan Soler Bultó on 125cc Montesa. A year earlier, Montesa was the first Catalan brand that participated in the international competition, representing a factory team in the 125cc class race at the Dutch TT in Assen. Josep Maria Llobet Turuta finished the race in fifth position. In the mid-50s Montesa started conquering international prizes, such as the outstanding results achieved in the official team Montesa in Tourist Trophy on the island of Illa de Man in 1956.
In that year, the pilots Montesa on motorcycles Montesa Sprint 125cc, Marcel Cama, Patso González and Enric Sirera occupied respectively the second, third and fourth places. In 1959 the pilot Ricard Fargas became the first Catalan that's just succeeded in the International Grand Prix, in particular, the Spanish Grand Prix in Montjuïc, in the 125cc category at Ducati.
