1942 Dodge WC-57 Command Car (the USA)

In 1942 the Dodge launched production of the multi-purpose army trucks of the Т214 (G502) line of ¾ tons load capability. This line included 12 types of the cars differing by bodies and outfit. The specialized command cars were produced under the WC-56 and WC-57 indication, a total of 21,156 and 6,010 correspondingly were produced from 1942 till 1944. The WC-57 differed from the WC-56 with the availability of a winch and a bit lengthened frame. The WC-56 and WC-57 cars were not supplied officially under the lend-lease program however a small number of the command vehicles were employed by Soviet martial leaders during the years of Great Patriotic War. In particular Marshals Zhukov and Rokossovsky had such cars.
