The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-size automobile that was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 1953–1975 model years.

Chromized decoration became very massive —vigorous double bumpers, the grille with rectangular slots, knife-like moldings — everything was abundantly chrome-coated. The hood also got a substantial chromized cross-bar.
