1939 Mercedes-Benz 230 S Race Car

In the 1930s Mercedes-Benz developed special two-seaters such as the 230 S for off-road racing. The car on display was driven by a team from the German postal service in the Brandenburg Offroad Rally in 1939. The postal service, which enjoyed success in the popular offroad races in the 1930s, used the events to advertise its post-bus service for both people and mail.
