1994 Penske-Mercedes PC 23 IndyCar

It took Mercedes-Benz only ten months to develop a totally new V8 engine delivering with 754 kW. Mercedes’ aim, in partnership with the Penske team, was to win the legendary Indianapolis 500 in May 1994. The race turned out to be a sensational success, Al Unser Jr. taking victory in his Penske-Mercedes PC 23.
