At the end of the 1990s, the C 220 CDI station wagon was one of the most common police cars in Baden-Württemberg. The exhibited vehicle did duty in Stuttgart from 2000 to the end of 2002 and covered 25,000 miles. It was one of the first police cars featuring the silver-green paintwork introduced in 2000 to facilitate subsequent resale.
