1931 Mercedes-Benz 170

The 170 model was a milestone for Mercedes-Benz. The first production car to have independent wheel suspension at the front and rear, it had particularly safe handling characteristics. And despite its six-cylinder engine it was still reasonably priced and economical. It became a sales hit that secured the existence of Daimler-Benz during the economical crisis of the early 1930s.
