1932 Mercedes-Benz Lo 2000

The world's first light-duty truck with a diesel engine, the Lo 2000 prepared the ground for the automotive diesel engine’s final breakthrough. It was also the first diesel-engined truck offered by Mercedes-Benz, specially tailored to the wishes of small operators. With its payload capacity of roughly two tons, it would today be allocated to the van category.
