1949 GAZ M-20B
From 1949 till 1953 an open version of POBEDA was produced. Only the upper part of the roof folded, but the side parts were rigid: the design engineers were afraid to weaken the body. Moreover they set additional reinforcing members in it. But the car put on weight a little – only 35 kg. The canvas top had an adverse effect on the aerodynamics. The top speed of the cabriolet became 5 km/h less, and the control fuel consumption grew from 11 to 11.5 l/100 km. Altogether there were 14,222 of such cabriolets produced, and today this cabriolet is the greatest rarity.
