The carrier is a spring cart with a gun Maxim, backward. The crew consists of two men, a coachman and an automatic rifleman. In the Civil War it was used both for movement and lashing immediately in the battle area. The carriers were very popular with Makhnov’s soldiers. The last-mentioned employed the carriage not only in a battle, but also to carry infantry forces.

When automobiles, tanks and tankettes began to come into operation in the Red Army, the number of the carriages quickly reduced. However, they were withdrawn from operational status for good only when the cavalry was discontinued as independent troops in the middle of the 50ies. The carriage is presented by the Military-Technical Museum.
