In 1986 the project started to expand the vehicle fleet of the police. In late 1987-early 1988, the factory made 5 police cars Trabant. They were intended for the police municipalities of Leipzig, Dresden and Eberswalde. Unfortunately, the exploitation of the police Trabant cars was more expensive than of usual Skoda and Wartburg car brands, so the project on the implementation of the police Trabant cars did not gain momentum.

Now the police Trabant may cause nothing, except for smile, because the power of its engine is not enough for pursuit driving this car. However, until 1993, this car was in the police in Eberswalde. The special equipment included a rotating beacon, a siren and a radio.
