Design and mechanical components of type 23 were similar to the Type 13, but with a longer wheelbase. In 1920, Bugatti has achieved success with his 16-vavle engine. Friderich Voiturette French rider won the Grand Prix at LeMans. The following year, a trio of Bugatti won the first three places in Brescia. In honor of this victory, all cars with 16-valve engines were called Bresia.
