The 906 Carrera 6 is the first thoroughbred racing car by Porsche. This successor of the 904 performs well in diverse applications and is particularly successful with its lightweight tubular space frame in the two-liter sports car class. In 1966 Willy Mairesse and Herbert Müller celebrate the overall victory at the 50th Targa Florio. The Carrera 6 sets important trends for many successful Porsche racing cars.
