500GTL model was introduced in 1975 when the designer Tumidei updated design in 1965. This model has never fit into the line of Ducati, which up to this point has focused on small single and large V-figurative motorcycles.
The bike was equipped with alloy wheels Borrani, Marzocchi forks and brakes Brembo. 500 Sport Desmo appeared in 1977, and was a racing version, 500 Super Sport. The final version was GTV 1978, which was produced until 1981.
