In order to expand the telephone net this UNIMOG was acquired by Austrian postoffice in 1953.
Especially developed for countryside mountain areas this type appeared to be very successful and was bought in large quantities.
This automobile was pensioned off only in 1974 and it moved from the post to become a a museum exhibit.
