1965 Medical vehicle VW T3

Beginning from 1953 the Volkswagen supplied ambulances all over the world. So called Type 2 in the third version all-wheel-drive came intothe market in 1965.
This type of the vehicle was assembled with use of unique spare parts from the VW (for instance, an engine and a body) at the Puch plant inGraz.
The automobile was contributed to the Historama museum by Roten Kreuz Kärnten and it represents the end of the last transport series with the opposed engine at the rear.

Engine - 4-cylinder water-cooled opposed Otto Boxermotor
