1936 Czech man’s bike ES-KA
Eska Cheb was one of the oldest and largest Czech manufacturers of bicycles and bicycle parts (the company celebrated its 125 years anniversary in 1989). Throughout its long history, Eska produced a full range of road, touring, city and folding bicycles.
1874 - start of production of bicycles in Cheb by Premier (a subsidiary of Premier Cycle Co, Coventry)
1911 - ES-KA founded by Ambros Swetlik and Heinrich Kastrup (former employees of Premier)
1922 - new branch of ES-KA founded in Rokycany, manufacturing bicycles branded Tripol
1945 - nationalisation of Eska
1998 - after a period of decline starting in the early 1990s, Eska goes bankrupt
