The “Baby Austin” was one of the most popular runabouts of the Twenties and Thirties, especially on account of its reputed 20 km to the litre. Designed and built by Lord Herbert Austin, it was launched in 1923 and cost only 165 pounds, one-third of the price of other small British cars.
