This is a base model of the family 2110. It was for the first time demonstrated at the beginning of 1993 in the Moscow Manezh. In the next 1994 AvtoVAZ introduced the 2110 at Paris Automobile Show as a prototype of a series car the production of which was scheduled in the following 1995. During three subsequent years till 1996 this automobile was being built in the preproduction department of AvtoVAZ in minimal quantities to develop different solutions for future commercial production. The most noticeable external differences of the earliest models 2110 are flat front and rear bumpers, black painting of sills and door cases.

This prototype of 1994 was assembled by-hand. The color of the body was blue metallic and leather and suede were used in the interior. In 1994 the car was introduced in the Kremlin to President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin and Cabinet members of the country. The President drove the prototype several hundreds meters.
