The 612 Scaglietti was named in honour of the late Sergio Scaglietti, the founder of the Modenese carrozzeria bearing his name, which was absorbed into the Ferrari group in the late sixties. It was Ferrari’s 4-seater flagship prior to the introduction of its successor, the current FF model. As a celebration of Ferrari's 60th anniversary in 2007, a special limited edition of 60 examples the model was launched, each with details and finish unique to that specific car.
