TRIUMPH TR2 SPORTS “long door”, RHD, 1954, chassis nr. TS 554-O, original registration number 46 BHX, FIVA Id. Card 46059.
Back from a brilliant and successful Mille Miglia 2012 (65th overall), this very rare "long- door" TR2, originally registered in February 1954, is one of the first batch of 500 examples produced and it's certainly a quite famous car; photographed by Alex Stirling for the front cover of “Autosport” magazine in March 1954 with the smiling actress Belinda Lee, the car is a rare color combination of Geranium Red body with a very elegant Blackberry trim. Fully restored by the TR Specialist Tim Collins about ten years ago, our 46BHX still retains the original aluminum bonnet, the nice rear wheel spats and an useful and fine metal hard top.
