1931 Electric tram motorcar Ce 2/2 No 202

Crowds rush on to the trams Electric tram motorcar Ce 2/2 No 202 Basle Tramways 1931 This vehicle was the last in a long series of two-axle cars which Basle Transport Company had acquired since 1919. The characteristics of this series were the end -wall doors and intercommunicating gangway plates so that the conductor could pass from the motorcar to the trailer whiie the tram was in motion. The seats also had ‘throw-over backs. For the first time in Basle, this series was fitted with compressed-air brakes, which made it possible to couple several cars together.
