Electric locomotive Ae 6/6 No 11413 “Schaffhausen“ Swiss Federal Railways SBB 1956 The first 25 locomotives of the legendary Ae 6/6 series delivered in the years from 1952-1958 were given the names and coats of arms of the Swiss cantons. They were also decorated with chromium trim strips. On 6 October 1956, locomotive No11413 was christened “Schaffhausen” at a public festival in the town of Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Since then it has covered around 6,5 million kilometres. After more than 50 years in service on the Swiss railway network, latterly with SBB Cargo, Ae 6/6 No 11413 was taken out of service. 119 locomotives built delivered between 1952-1966 120t 18,40 m 125 km/h (today: 120 km/h) 392 kN Source: SBB-Cargo, Bern (purchase)
