MotoTrans produced motorcycles and scooters between 1957 and 1983. It succumbed to financial problems and the factory was bought by Yamaha.
The factory built Ducati motorcycles which differed in details from the Italian machines; for instance the use of Spanish-made Amal carburettors and some engine and gearbox internals. As well as a number of Ducati-engined singles they produced a parallel twin closely based on the Ducati SD500 Desmo. They also built the 1978 Yak 410 scrambler with their own engine (although at least one source says it was designed by Ducati), and a rather smart 50cc machine.
At the exhibition in Barcelona in December 1965 and in Madrid in January 1966 the motorcycle of the Mototrans model:24H (24 hours) was presented. The motorcycle was based on the model Ducati, which won 24 hours race of Montjuic. It was an impressive motorcycle, from both an aesthetic and technical point of view. The similar sport bikes were manufactured by Italians (Mach 1 models) and Americans (the Mark 3), but aesthetically they were more like the 250 luxury than 24 H.
Model 24 H had five gears in contrast to all previous models Mototrans, a top speed was equal to 160 km / h.
24 H is considered one of the most beautiful motorcycles of its time. Now it is a valuable collector's item for all fans of the old motorcycles.
A total of 500 units were produced in the first series and two subsequent series until 1974. 150 units were exported to the British market in August 1971, where it was known as "24 horrors".
