1958 Ducson Repris

Ducson Repris 49cc 1958
Mollet del Valles (Barcelona)
Exhibit: Familia Sola, Museu Isern

Ducson was the Catalan brand of motorcycles and motorbikes of small engine volume produced in Mollet del Vallès between 1954 and 1988 by Industrias Ciclistas V. Solá, SA (abbreviated I.C. Solá or ICSSA).
The company founder was Vicenç Solá.
Ducson mopeds were characterized by their reliability and performance. They will be remembered as one of the most beautiful and technologically advanced ever built.

In 1960, the brand already had a great experience that allowed it to make a new model, Ducson Repris, with 49 cc engine, which developed the power of 3 hp and reached a maximum speed of 80 km / h. This model had a plate frame and achieved a great success thanks to its ultra-modern and stylish design. Ducson Repris was one of the fastest motorcycles with small engine capacity of its time.

In 1962 two new models of 49 and 49 Sport were released, which had a modified chassis compared to previous models. Model 49 had an engine common with the old Ducson engine Repris, but 49 Sport developed the power 4.5 hp and reached a maximum speed of 90 km / h.
Since that time, only cosmetic changes were made in this model, and new models were released labeled S8, S9, S10, S12, S15, S16 for road versions and labeled S20, S21 and S30 for non-road versions.
